Scott and I headed out for a weekend getaway to Raleigh to see La Boheme at the NC Opera for the best date night!
We checked out state of beer before having dinner at Sitti. It was delicious! We had some hummus and spin on tatziki as an appetizer. I had falafel and a delicious kale + lentil soup while Scott had a salmon dish he loved. After dinner we walked across the street to have a drink at the green light bar which was so cool. It was hidden behind a bookshelf and definitely had a speak easy type vibe going on.
La Boheme was at the Duke Energy Center For Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh so we just walked there from dinner. It was mine and Scott’s first opera and I did enjoy it (we sat very close to the stage so it was a little hard to watch the scene and the subtitles that were at the top of the stage).
We stopped by Foundation Bar on the way back to the hotel and lucked into 2 seats at the bar. The bar tender and drinks were great!
Last stop was at Flying Saucer for a little throwback to our college days. They have a great selection of beer and the pretzel was on point. Definitely a stop to make if you’re in the area.
